picnicCALGARY — Taking advantage of Calgary’s Indian summers and bringing together the outstanding arts, music and culture that we possess, Picnic is hosting its third annual outdoor event this month.

As part of Alberta Culture Days, the Cliff Bungalow Community Park (2201 Cliff St. SW) will be taken over for one day by local food vendors, artisans, local bands and various organizations, all in the name of coming together to celebrate community, heritage and our environment.

The day will kick off with a free outdoor yoga class from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m., followed by live music performances from 11:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. by JJ Shiplett, Fever Feel, Windigo, Copperhead and more. The day will also be peppered with various environmental workshops and art exhibits.

Picnic, in partnership with BassBus and MusicYYC, aims to celebrate the beginning of fall with a cornucopia of great elements that exist in Calgary year-round. Attendees are encouraged to bring their favourite sprawling picnic blanket and settle in for a day filled with sun, music, relaxation and the communal vibes that will be brightly radiating.

Picnic takes place at Cliff Bungalow Park on Saturday, September 27th.
