CALGARY — Brothers Rob and Joe Karam with extensive experience working in liquor stores, recently made the move to open up their own shop, the 17th Avenue Liquor Boutique.

“One of the things we think makes us unique in the Beltline,” Joe says, “is that on any given day we have selected wines and beer to sample. We definitely want you to ‘try before you buy’. We’ll help you, so you know what your palettes are wanting. “

Knowing that a large volume of bike traffic down 17th, another of their specialties is providing a glass growler that comes with a pouch and shoulder strap, easy maneuvering for those the go.

“The growler is convenient and environmentally-friendly. You can come in, sample from eight, soon to be 16 beers by summer, fill up and take it home.”

An added bonus, for those on the last crawl prowl, is that they’re open till 2 a.m.
