CALGARY — Victoria-based West My Friend is predominantly a chamber folk ensemble, but during a residency at the Banff centre, songwriter Eden Oliver penned and arranged “Shape of a Home” on one of the Banff Centre’s grand pianos. Perhaps more melancholic than the bucolic Quiet Hum record that the band has been supporting, Oliver performs the song in soft acapella with the Vox Humana Chamber Choir.

West My Friend performs at the Calgary Lilac Festival on June 5th.
