Malkin Bowl, May 29, 2017

VANCOUVER – Since the release of their ARIA Gold record Bloom early last year, Rüfüs Du Sol has been on a roll. Such a roll, in fact, that the Australian band managed to sell out the scenic Malkin Bowl on a warm Monday night as part of their The Northern Sol Tour.
Comprised of Tyrone Lindqvist on vocals and guitar, Jon George on keyboard and James Hunt on drums, Rüfüs Du Sol has become well known for instrumentally driven dance beats layered under Lindqvist’s falsetto tinged vocals since their inception back in 2010.
Beginning their set with the summery dance anthem “Be With You,” it was clear that the crowd was ready for a night ripe with festival vibes and beautiful ladies perched atop shoulders. More highlights from the evening included the band’s live renditions of “Tonight” and “Like An Animal” which left their fans in a blissed out trance, singing along word for word.
Just as the sun began to set behind the trees of Malkin, Lindqvist explained to the audience how this was the band’s favourite time to play as they slid into a powerful sunset performance of their hit single, “Interbloom.”
Thoroughly satisfied with their first taste of summer, the crowd walked away that evening with their hearts filled to the brim.Australia, Malkin Bowl, Rüfüs Du Sol, Sydney
