VIDEO PREMIERE: Raven & The Fox – “Follow Me”

Friday 01st, December 2017 / 09:00
By Liam Prost

Canmore Folk-Rock duo The Raven & The Fox made waves earlier this year with the release of their self-titled debut record. The Geoff Hilhorst (Deep Dark Woods) produced effort is a deeply emotive work, with deep lyrical ties to the Alberta Bow River valley where Julie Chang and Sean Isaac live a paced alpine existence, to which they return this December after a busy touring season.

BeatRoute is proud to debut the video for the beautiful, piano-forward “Follow Me.” The interplay between human and nature is a key theme for the duo, and the video doubles down, featuring the idyllic trails of the foothills near their home. Chang’s lyrics invite listeners to experience the mountains firsthand, and the Michael Klekamp produced and directed video provides a first-person insight into just how best to do that. With Chang and Isaac riding bikes in the sunshine, the suggestion may not be directly analogous to how you might want to experience the mountains this December, but the sentiment is well taken regardless.

The Raven & The Fox’s self titled debut is out now, and the band performs at St. Andrew’s United Church (Cochrane, AB) on December 2nd.
