VANCOUVER – It’s appropriate that local music maker Ulysses premieres his latest sonic experience “Goood Deci$ion$” during the holiday season. Most of us are feeling goood — Christmas baking, holiday cheer, goodwill for fellow humans — and making deci$ion$ about what to splurge on without breaking the bank.

With poppy Nine Inch Nails vibes at the start of the track melding into ‘90s dance beats, “Goood Deci$ion$” has something for everyone. It’s like three songs in one with alternating time signatures, industrial electronic textures, grimy tweaker beats, and pop vocal stylings.

Part meditative affirmation, part energizing anthem, “Goood Deci$ion$” is an experimental take on the pump-up song. It’s an appealing soundtrack cut for ushering in the new year.
