ASAP Eggs is a fresh arrival in the Vancouver creative scene with a foot in the doors of several industries, from music to fashion to video production. The “entire concept behind [his] brand and future work is purely rooted in collaboration” – this first video, a trailer for his upcoming premiere album, all in (wip), was directed, produced, and composed by Eggs, edited by Maya Ritchey, and filmed by Blake Davey. It also features a verse by Vancouver duo So Loki.
The video, entitled BEEN DOWN SO LONG IT LOOKS LIKE UP TO ME, is an ambitious first look at Eggs’ work. It features snippets of several songs from the forthcoming album: “Gravity’s Rainbow,” “BEEN DOWN SO LONG IT LOOKS LIKE UP TO ME,” and “Dune.” Eventually, Eggs plans on making a video for each individual track, and “the ultimate plan is to finish all in (wip) with the ASAP Mob.”
To further fuel his collaborative efforts, Eggs’ videos will serve more purpose than simply illustrating his music. BEEN DOWN SO LONG IT LOOKS LIKE UP TO ME showcases the stylings of both local Vogue runway designer Alex S. Yu and fashion line Vetements.
Singles from all in (wip) will be released individually on Apple Music throughout the summer.Alex S. Yu, ASAP eggs, local, So Loki, vetements, Video Premiere
