M For Montreal has announced their final round of programming for the 13th edition of their annual music industry extravaganza. From November 14 to 17, M For Montreal will feature some of the most exciting up and coming talents percolating in the Canadian music scene for local, national and international music industry professionals to take in and discover.
Rounding out the smaller emerging acts being featured at this tried and true annual celebration, they have also invited Polaris Prize winner Jeremy Dutcher, Vancouver indie pop stalwarts The Zolas, glam rock Quebecois artist Hubert Lenoir, Arts & Crafts’ folk rock troubadours Reuben & The Dark, stoner alt-rock outfit Partner, Fools Gold alumni SHASH’U and more to perform at various intimate venues around the city.
Previously announced acts include electro-pop duo Milk & Bone, moody synth-pop Helena Deland, British trio Kero Kero Bonito, How To Dress Well, Yukon Blond, and Montreal’s rising garage psych outfit, Lemongrab.
M For Montreal was conceived as a way to reroute reputable names in the music industry back to the city that continues to foster emerging and creative talents, rather than having to rely solely on exporting them elsewhere for exposure. Founded in 2006 by Sebastien Nasra (Avalanche Productions) and British festival programmer Martin Elbourne (Glastonbury Festival, The Great Escape), the festival continues to expand its reach, inviting inquiring minds to drop in and take part in the city’s vibrant cultural landscape.
