INNOVATIVE MULTI-PLATFORM MEDIA COMPANY “BEATROUTE MEDIA” EXPANDS CIRCULATION OF ITS ARTS AND ENTERTAINMENT MONTHLY BEATROUTE

BEATROUTE TO LAUNCH ONTARIO EDITION IN SEPTEMBER

TORONTO, ON (May 7, 2019) – Beatroute Media, a leading multi-platform media company, announced today that it will launch a Toronto edition of its widely respected publication, Beatroute – Canada’s arts and entertainment monthly, expanding its print circulation from British Columbia to Ontario, with additional distribution in Edmonton, Victoria, Winnipeg and more. Celebrating print, journalism and the art of storytelling, Michael Hollett (NXNE), will serve as publisher and editor of the magazine based in Toronto.

“There will always be a role for great print but like everything it has to adapt and change to stay relevant and sustainable in a new world,” shares Michael Hollett, Editor/Publisher, Beatroute Magazine. “My team and I are determined to create a 21st Century magazine that is a dynamic calling card for innovative and essential digital content. We are committed to reflecting the world through the eyes of a music fan and that means not only covering music but also: fashion, food, drink, travel and film.”

The monthly print magazine currently distributed in Calgary and Vancouver is the heart of Beatroute Media, providing readers with engaging content and the latest must-haves and must-dos, featuring five key editorial anchors from music, fashion, and film to travel and food & drink – all narrated through the lens of a music fan.

A digital edition of the magazine is available at www.beatroute.ca and includes articles of interest for both national and international audiences in addition to dynamic daily content with an emphasis on curation and quality.

“We’re very excited to build on the great work the original Beatroute team has done for the last 15 years. And on a personal level, this project brings two of my long-time passions together, publishing and live music.”

With the new Toronto edition launching in September, the magazine will have a combined print circulation of 100,000, bringing it to the forefront of digital publishing as a leader and innovator.
