Westward Music Festival has just added a solid slate of free outdoor shows in Yaletown, including a Music BC showcase stage to their annual lineup of events.
From September 12 to 15, the outdoor concert series will offer three stages hosting local and international talent, a beer garden, food and a host of Vancouver-based vendors. These events will run from noon to 10 pm throughout the festival.
“The Music BC stage at Westward Yaletown will provide a great opportunity for BC artists to showcase their skills to hometown crowds and local industry,” said Music BC Industry Association executive director, Lindsay MacPherson.
Returning for its third year, Westward Music Festival, organized by Canadian entertainment company the MRG Group, is a concert series taking place in various venues throughout downtown Vancouver. The festival lineup features a variety of local and international talent, such as Joji, The Paper Kites, local favourites Black Mountain and many more.
“We are thrilled to be expanding Westward Music Festival to Yaletown as we continue to broaden our footprint throughout downtown Vancouver,” said director of festivals and events at the MRG Group, Alex Grigg. “Yaletown is a great setting for us to showcase homegrown talent and other international acts.”
A collaboration between the MRG Group and the Yaletown Business Improvement Association, this addition to Westward Festival promises to be a bright extension to what is already becoming a staple of Vancouver’s thriving music community.
