Shawn Mendes is back in his home city of Toronto and he’s making the most of his stay. Ahead of his homecoming show at the Rogers Centre on Friday, Sept. 6, the singer is also hosting a special pop-up experience to launch the second, limited-edition Roots x Shawn Mendes capsule collection.
“With the launch of my foundation earlier this week, my upcoming hometown show and now the release of my second collaboration with Roots – I’m so grateful to have the support of this iconic Canadian brand and being able to give back with them. I hope everyone loves these pieces as much as I do,” says Mendes.
The collection—which includes t-shirts, hoodies and jackets—will be available for purchase in an immersive rose garden in the heart of downtown Toronto, just steps away from the Rogers Centre where Shawn will perform on Friday night. The custom-designed pop-up shop is crafted from over 10,000 fresh pink roses and will feature eight-foot tall rose beds.
If you want to directly support Shawn’s newly-launched foundation—which will support children’s health care, sustainability, mental health and wellness, human rights, anti-bullying, education and other causes—be sure to pick up a Roots x Shawn Mendes baseball cap ($40), as 100 per cent of the profits from the hats will be donated to the foundation.
The collection officially launches in-store and at the rose garden pop-up Wednesday, Sept. 4 at 6pm EST, with Shawn’s global fanbase able to buy the collection online starting September 5 at 10am. EST. The installation will be open daily from Wednesday, Sept. 4 to Friday, Sept. 6. For more info check out roots.com/shawnmendes.Roots, Shawn Mendes, Toronto
