Earnest, improvisational and pleasantly peculiar, North Vancouver bedroom pop musician Yung Heazy has just announced his latest set of tour dates, which will be running up and down the West Coast this November, kicking things off in his hometown on Saturday, Nov. 2 at the Biltmore Ballroom.
The quirky and confidently branded Kool Musik Tour is a clear signal of the goodness to come, if its name is anything to go by. Heazy will be touring in anticipation of his upcoming sophomore offering, I UR BOY, which is entirely self-produced and will be released on his own label, Unbelievably Spectacular, early next year. The lead single, “Kool Musik” is available now.
In August, Heazy dropped a four-song EP, Lullabies, which saw him record acoustic versions of two of his most popular tracks and a cover of the UK band Her’s “Cool With You,” citing their influence in moulding his artistic style.
Heazy blew up online last year after Alona Chemerys, a Ukrainian YouTuber with a sizeable following, soundtracked one of her videos with his breezy single, “Cuz You’re My Girl.” Despite his unconventional rise to prominence, Heazy is set on cementing his position as one of Vancouver’s most promising local stars with this tour.
